WHO WE ARE
A team of less than 10 Davidson College students founded the first ever Dance Marathon chapter in partnership with Children's Miracle Network in 2016. Since then, we have held two successful Dance Marathon Events, collectively raising over $35,000 for Levine Children's Hospital in Charlotte, NC. We are a student run organization dedicated to raising awareness about pediatric illness and disease. We are very involved within the Davidson community and we strive to make a difference in the lives of our local Miracle Kids and their families.
We are For The Kids.
WHAT WE DO
We Make a Difference.
We work year long, reaching out to our community through campus initiatives and community involvements to recruit people to register as dancers for our annual event in February. Each registration costs $15 and then the dancer is encouraged to fundraise leading up to the Dance Marathon. Also through small events we raise community awareness about childhood illness and injury. Such types of events include doctor patient speaker panels, tabling, bake sales and even fitness events like cardio dance. During these small events we encourage individuals to donate as much or as little to our worthy cause as well as register to dance at Dance Marathon. All of the funds raised are directly funneled into a Children's Miracle Network donor drive, which can only be accessed by Levine Children's Hospital.
